The Georgina Chamber of Commerce is proud to share that Chambers across Ontario have supported our policy resolution submitted at the 2026 Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) Annual General Meeting and Convention in Ottawa, April 23-25th. The resolution was presented, passed, and is now included in the OCC's 2026-2029 Policy Compendium:
Ensuring Access to In-Person Banking Services in Small and Rural Ontario Communities
In addition to this policy, the Georgina Chamber also co-sponsored a policy on Social Procurement, written by the Barrie Chamber of Commerce, which was also presented and passed at the Convention.
Addressing the need for a Framework for "Social Procurement” Policy in Ontario's Municipalities
The OCC will continue to champion the recommendations on these policies on behalf of the Chamber Network through ongoing discussions with government officials, media outreach, policy briefs, and reports.
For Georgina businesses, this means your concerns are being heard at the provincial level and reflected in policies that directly impact our local economy and business community.
