Material Handler - FT - Newmarket, ON

The Material Handler works on the production floor and warehouse of a busy manufacturing facility moving product and various materials to different areas.  

Major Areas of Responsibilities

• Operate Forklift, bed movers (certification required), handcarts, and hydraulic jacks
• Daily inspection of forklift and bed movers
• Responsible for up-keep of forklift
• Safe transport and storage of goods received, coils, boxes, etc.
• Weigh coil & accurate documentation
• Packaging product
• Stacking goods on skids
• Distributing raw materials to production lines in a timely fashion
• Inventory / cycle counts as required
• Moving of all finished product to shipping areas
• Depositing of metal scrap in appropriate bins – steel and aluminum
• Proper stock rotation of all materials used for production. Oldest used first
• General housekeeping of work area
• Other duties as required

Education/Certification/Experience

• Forklift and bedmover experience (3 years) and certification (Must have valid forklift certificate)
• Previous manufacturing experience (asset)
