The Shipper-Receiver works as part of a team responsible for all inbound/outbound shipments, loading/unloading of vehicles, completing proper documentation and processing of paperwork, warehousing of goods and periodic inventory counts.
Major Areas of Responsibilities
- Operate unpowered or powered equipment i.e., handcart, pallet jack, forklift, bedmover etc. (certification required for powered equipment)
- Daily inspection of forklift and bedmovers
- Pick orders
- Prepare shipments including pulling, stacking, labelling and staging. Could also include skidding, crating, strapping, and wrapping
- Loading/unloading trucks and moving product, equipment or bulk materials to proper locations in warehouse or yard by hand and/or using unpowered or powered equipment
- Verify accuracy of shipments and keep detailed records
- Complete required shipping documents
- Receive orders
- Load & unload pickup trucks, cube vans, commercial trucks and other vehicles
- Stock shelves with product
- Correspond with courier for pickup or drop off when required
- General housekeeping of work area
- Other duties as required

- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

- Lifting up to 22 kg
- Experience with power tools for skidding and crating
Education/Certification/Experience
- Warehouse experience
- Forklift and bedmover experience and certification

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this position, the employee will have exposure to a production facility with operating machinery, mechanical parts and moving vehicles. The noise level in this environment is moderate, and can reach very high levels in the production plant when certain machinery is running. Some areas of this environment are exposed to outdoor weather conditions.

Hours of Work
40.0 – 47.5 hours/week; varies according to individual branch seasonal operating hours
Includes 30-minute unpaid meal break + 2 paid 15-minute breaks each shift
Overtime as required.
Hours of Work: Monday-Friday Days
