Bereaved Families of York Region is hosting our annual memorial butterfly release on Saturday, September 14th at Fairy Lake Park. Registration begins at 9AM and the ceremony begins at 10AM. The morning consists of a ceremony where hundreds of beautiful monarch butterflies are released in memory of loved ones that have passed on. This event allows individuals to express their sorrow for the loss of their loved ones, celebrate, and honour their memory. The event also includes: - Live music and readings - Children’s colouring activities - A barbecue lunch provided by the Optimist Club of Aurora with the proceeds donated to Bereaved Families of York Region Butterflies will need to be purchased no later than Sept. 1, 2019, you may now purchase butterflies and/or sponsor online at https://www.bfo-yorkregion.com/butterfly-release using your credit card. You can also register online if you would like to pay by cheque or cash, your registration/sponsorship would be valid up receipt of payment in the office.
