ABOUT THE GEORGINA CARES FUND: 

The Georgina Cares Fund provides funding to families who require financial support for extra-curricular and special needs programming. The Georgina Cares Compassion Fund provides one-time funding and resources to local families that have experienced unforeseen catastrophic events (such as medical, accidental, death). The Georgina Cares Scholarship Program provides $1,500 grants to local high school graduating students who have materially contributed to the community. We also provide financial support to local schools and the Georgina Food Pantry to support food programs for children.

Together with community generosity, Georgina Cares has:

- Provided $12,000 in grants directly to children and families last year

- Granted up to 5 graduating students $1500 each in community leadership scholarships

- Provided $1,000 per month to the Georgina Food Pantry

- Provided $2,000 yearly to each school in Georgina

- Raised more than $50,000 through the 2025 auction

UPCOMING EVENTS: Georgina Cares Fund Annual Auction

Our annual Georgina Cares Auction is a live, televised/streamed event that is our largest fundraiser each year. We are currently reaching out to businesses in the GTA and surrounding areas for donations of products, services, experiences, and gift cards. These items will be presented during our live auction on Sunday, November 29th, starting at 12 pm on both Rogers cable and YouTube, and our generous donors will be recognized throughout the auction as well as in advance and after on our social media channels, website, and the local news.

Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to be kept up to date on the auction, including information about our generous donors, sneak peeks at the auction items, and the ability to follow along on the day of the auction to make sure you don't miss out on the items you would like to bid on!

Business Spotlights are awarded by draw on a monthly basis at our Breaknet, Business After 5 and Lunch & Learn at the Link networking events.  A random winner is chosen each month from businesses attending the event to receive the Spotlight section during the following month.  The Spotlight Business receives a link on the Chamber's website homepage to this page to showcase their bio, contact information and links to their website and social media pages.
