    Christine Burton - Sales Representative - Royal LePage Your Community Realty

    Biography: Christine Burton has the pleasure of helping people in this community sell and find their dream homes. Her job is very fulfilling and allows her to meet a lot of wonderful people. Christine has lived in Keswick since the Fall of 1994 and has volunteered with the Soccer Programme, Hockey, Boy Scouts and at the Keswick High School Parent Council. She has been a member of the Chamber Board of Directors since 2013, and has sat on various committees including the Finance, Marketing, Advocacy, Travel and Nomination. Christine is a firm believer in giving back to the community and enjoys promoting Georgina when she can to whom she can.

  • Biography Biography

    Wei is a well-respected real estate broker in the community, with satellite offices in Keswick and Sutton. He specializes in residential, commercial and land. He is thrilled and honoured to be a part of the Georgina Chamber of Commerce, bringing with him fresh set of ideas to the business community.

    Wei and his team are regularly giving back to this wonderful community. Contributing to various local initiatives such as Food Drives, Toy Drives, Keswick/Sutton Santa Claus Parade, Home Show, pumpkin giveaway, annual community skate and fundraisers, to name a few. His knowledge and background in business and marketing is very fitting in promoting Georgina as the best place to live, work and play! He looks forward being able to continue to play an integral part of promoting everything that Georgina has to offer!

    Zaheeda Rahim has been a resident of Georgina for over 20 years and operates Affordable Car Rental and Sales, prior to which she served in Administration for a private sector for over 20 years where she acquired experiences in customer service, network marketing, and fundraising. She is one of the founders of a non-profit organization called York Region Muslim, helping communities in the York Region area. Locally, she also serves our community as a Georgina Community Ambassador for Georgina Action Table, as well as being a returning member of the Georgina Chamber of Commerce board of directors.

  • Ed Torres
  • Biography Biography

    Ed Torres is the President and CEO of Torres Media. Ed was a traffic reporter for 10 years with Skywords on stations that included Q107, and Z103.5, prior to which Ed was an airline pilot with Canadian Regional Airlines.

    Ed currently serves as a Director with the Ontario Association of Broadcasters, he is also Past President of the Rotary Club of Etobicoke, past director, Ontario Independent Radio Group, recipient of the Ontario Library Association Champion Award and a Maple Blues Award winner. Ed has served on various other boards including the Advertising Review Board of Ontario.

    A graduate of the Sault College Aviation Flight Technology Engineering program, Ed lives in Sutton West, Ontario with his wife, Kathryn and has two sons, Alex age 29 and Mitchell age 27.

    Stephanie is the Business Entrepreneurship Coordinator for the YSpace partnership program with The Town of Georgina and East Gwillimbury.

    She has extensive experience working with small to medium businesses through project management, digital marketing, and graphic design. Stephanie is motivated by helping others achieve their business and entrepreneurial goals.

    Stephanie is always excited to her support and share her experience with her community through York University, The Town of Georgina, and The Town of East Gwillimbury.

    Jim Beechey has been a resident of Georgina for over 10 years and has lived in York Region for over 30 years. He operates Beechtree Marketing, prior to which he served in senior management positions in the areas of marketing, business management and government affairs throughout North America in the private sector. Jim is passionate about encouraging investment if the local economy and supports this passion as Chair of Southlake Community Futures Development Corporation, as a member of the Town of Georgina’s Economic Development Committee, and a board member the Georgina Trades and Training Institute. Previously he has served as Chair of the Georgina Health Care Committees and Council. Beyond Georgina Jim is a board member of Central Counties Tourism and active on several committees. Mr. Beechey has been a member of the board of directors for several years having severed as Chair of the Board of Directors and currently is a board member and Chair of the Tourism Committee and an active member of the Advocacy Committee.

    Taylor has been a resident of Georgina for 25 years. As the previous, Marketing and Tourism Advisor at the Georgina Chamber of Commerce, she understands the importance of economic growth and tourism in our community. It has become a passion of hers to support and foster the small business owners in Georgina. Taylor is inspired to maintain and build relationships with residents, business owners and tourists in Georgina. Taylor’s Special Event Planning Diploma and Degree in Management and Leadership introduced her to a passion for marketing and events. Since completing her education, Taylor has founded Felix & Co. Marketing & Events. Felix & Co. offers Social Media Management, Website Management, Marketing, and other Virtual Assistance needs.

    Dental Hygiene on Demand

  • Biography Biography

    Melissa Sedore is an Independent Dental Hygienist and the owner-operator of Dental Hygiene on Demand (DHOD), a home-based dental hygiene office located in central Keswick since 2019.

    DHOD is an alternate option to DH care providing all of the services you would receive at a traditional dentist’s office - including direct billing - but in their own comfortable and relaxing space.  They are an advocate for their profession and want to spread the word that YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE YOUR DENTAL HYGIENIST!  DHOD has proudly supported Georgina Minor Hockey for the past 2 years by sponsoring both the Georgina Golden Hawks and the Georgina Blaze.

    They have participated in numerous GCOC events including BreakNets and After 5s, as well as being a panel speaker at the 2022 WWWIB Conference and having a booth at the Stilettos and Sneakers event.  Melissa is also currently an active member on the GCOC Marketing Committee.

    A resident of Georgina since 2000, Naomi is currently serving her third term as a part of Georgina’s council.  She has operated a small education business in Keswick for over 15 years and worked in health care during the pandemic.  Naomi is excited to be working with the chamber again, having served as council representative during the 2010-2014 term.

    Justin has been a resident of Georgina for almost a decade, originally moving to Keswick to be closer to his girlfriend, now wife (and partner in business), Amanda. Justin and Amanda first opened up Elpida Cafe and Roastery in 2018, with the goal of not only serving high quality beverages and coffee beans, but also aiming to make positive impact in the local community, through donating a portion of sales.

    Justin has been serving as a director on the Georgina Chamber of Commerce for over 2 years, as well as serving on the local tourism committee.

    Natalia Zammitti is an outgoing businesswoman who has attained many accolades as a Real Estate professional in York Region, most recently being recognized as EXP Realty's top 50 performers across Canada and is ranked in the Top 1% by the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board. She is also the proud founder of the Georgian Farmers market and has been the feature of various media spotlights for her business accomplishments.

    Natalia grew up in Pefferlaw and has lived and worked most of her life throughout York Region, her vast experience in real estate comes from her impeccable work ethic and her unfailing desire to serve her community and clients, those who have worked with her in any capacity know that she seemingly never stops.

    "My focus as a real estate agent is understanding those I am working with, and helping clients make the smartest real estate investing decisions possible. My aim is to make the process, whether buying or selling real estate, stress-free and understandable from start to finish. I really do thrive on being in a position to serve others."

    Natalia is a proud wife and mother of two boys, and when not being a home matchmaker you can often find her around town at events with her family, at the Georgina Farmers' Market, sweating it out on her Peleton, or best of all with her nose in a new favourite book.

    Naturally Enchanted

    A member of the Georgina community since moving here in 2014, Apryl, along with her husband Cameron and their beloved cat Tiggy, were quick to call the area home.

    Through her love of making connections with others and her eagerness in learning about local culture and history, she has cultivated a strong bond to the community so near to her heart. Setting down roots, she started her own business within the years that followed. Aptly named Naturally Enchanted, she is able to share her talents and teachings within the community.  Committed to bringing community together and to give back, Apryl launched Hidden Gems in 2021, a free scavenger hunt for crystals throughout the municipality as well at the Small-Town Big Heart Raffle in support of the Georgina Food Pantry. Apryl believes there is a place for everyone in Georgina and strives to create to an inclusive environment where everyone can be themselves and grow for their highest and greatest good.
