The Georgina Chamber of Commerce has been collecting information to share with the community regarding adjustments our members are making during the coming weeks. This list will be continually updated. Chamber members not listed can add their updates through the link at the bottom of this page.
The time has come for us to do more. The call for social distancing is stronger based on information provided on March 20th. While I believe the healthiest people ARE at the gym, we cannot take chances with the health of our community. Effective immediately until 7am April 1st, 2020, we will be closed. All memberships have been suspended. We will be sharing demos and workouts that you can do at home and renting equipment to members who are interest. Email for details. Store is still open for curbside pick up. We have a walk-up window where we will pass customers their order, or we can bring their order out to their car. The entire process is completely contactless.

Both of our snack bars inside the arena are closed, all events at restaurant will be cancelled (open mic, business networking) restaurant will be closed to the public but available for call in take out. Also, Sunset Beach Catering will still be able to cater but we will only offer our drop off service.

Speaking to clients on the phone I am instructing them to leave their documents in a basket outside which I retrieve and store for 2 days before I touch them. I am also using Express Post to receive and send documents to clients outside of Georgina

Buchner Manufacturing Inc. has phased in a new protocol for placing orders. When customers arrive at one of the Retail Branches they will encounter a telephone outside the Branch with instructions on how to place and pick-up your order. Payment arrangements will be discussed and arranged for at the time of order. Alternatively, Buchner encourages their customers to call your order in ahead of time or order on-line through our website. Delivery options available depending on the size of the order.

To keep everyone safe, we have closed down our walk-in option. We will, however, accommodate pickups by order and can even deliver through P&D Delivery service. We will be offering "decorate your own kits" to help with entertainment. If you have an existing order and wish to reschedule or modify your order to something smaller we can certainly do that. I am taking all extra precautions to keep my kitchen a safe environment.

Our fresh food baskets are available and we have taken all recommended measures to ensure the safety of our food and the health of our staff and customers. Our kids education programs at the farm are cancelled until June when we will reassess. The farm property is temporarily closed to all visitors for the safety of our employees and our customers. We do have 'Community Hub' pickup of our food baskets at identified locations.

All branches are closed to the public up to/including Monday April 6. All programs are cancelled. Drop-boxes are closed. Customers are asked to hold onto their library items until we re-open. Over-due fees will be waived, and items on the holds shelf that have not yet been picked up will be extended until we re-open.

IMC Office is still providing delivery to businesses which are deemed as essential business/services. We also provide delivery to small business owners who are working from home however all deliveries will be left outside at your door in order to adhere to social distancing rules.

Effective March 16, 2020, Job Skills is temporarily suspending all in-person service delivery (including group programs, workshops, intake sessions and one-on-one appointments, or events) until further notice. The resource rooms, at our Employment Ontario sites, will also be closed until further notice. We will continue to deliver modified services by phone, email or online where possible. We are still taking wholesale orders and ship by Canpar. Online orders are still being filled and sent by Canada Post. We are offering a free package of Jude's Screen & Lens Wipes with every order over $20 on our website. Also, Jude's Miracle Cloths are great to make homemade masks out of as they are a non-woven fabric.

In response to COVID-19, we are taking the following actions for March 16th to April 5th. This time-frame may be extended if declared necessary by health and government officials. All weekday programs offered by Loretto Maryholme are suspended (e.g. Lenten Breakfasts, spirituality groups, 3-Day Silent Retreat, etc.). All groups who booked a weekday or weekend program have been offered the option of a full refund without penalty or to have their deposit credited to a future booking. Both Blackbird and Dease cabins may be booked for an individual to make a private retreat or spend a self-isolation time. The person is responsible for their meals and linens. The cabins will have a thorough cleaning prior and post a booking. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for availability. The office will not be open to the public but the staff will be available by phone and email. They will continue to offer information about the Centre and its programs. We will communicate any further developments if circumstances warrant it. In the meantime, we thank you for your ongoing support of this ministry. During this time of social distancing Routes Property Services Ltd. is still serving the community with normal work hours. Our Season officially begins April 15th with Spring Clean Ups. All our communication is primarily done through our website or by phone, if we need to come and review a location for a specific reason there is no need to interact within a close vicinity to any other individual to help minimize face to face contact. We take the Covid-19 situation very seriously and are monitoring all government notifications daily. We will continue to make sure all our employees safety comes first and service our customers to the best of our ability.

Travel Agents are among the few that are actually working more during this crisis. I am keeping my Clients updated with their options, while making adjustments to travel plans for those that have decided. I'm also booking for future travel - this won't last forever.
I am still supplying and offering the same photography services. Nothing had changed as it's mostly done online anyway. As far as my paint nights, I am now posting them online FREE on my YouTube channel. You can pick up also at my home address. Purchases will be left in my sunroom. I've always done this in the past anyway.
We are offering employment support and one on one service by employment consultants and to local business by our job developers via phone/email and online workshops.
Zehrs Keswick will be open from 8am-8pm for shopping. 8am to 9am will be open for our seniors who are most vulnerable during the COVID-19 pandemic to shop for their essentials, with 9am-8pm for all other shopping. We would prefer that only seniors come during this one-hour time slot to shop for their essentials without being in a large crowd. We encourage all who are not seniors to after 9am to shop. Thank-you for your consideration and support during this trying time. Please share this information with your friends and family so we can help our seniors who are most vulnerable get access to their essentials. We have taken actions to ease peoples minds in our store as well. We are prepackaging all service case items. Things such as meats, fish, salads, breads and sweets. We are working on packing up our bulk foods as well. A handwashing station has been placed in our lobby for customers to used before and after they shop. We want everyone to feel at ease and understand that we care about their concerns. Food being an issue, we would like for people to understand that all of our goods are 48-60 hours behind in reaching the store. It will be all hands on deck to restock and we will do so as product comes in. We will also continue to sanitize and serve the community as best we can with smiles on our faces. We will only have 1 cash register plus customer service that will carry cash. Everything else will be debit or credit going forward as well.
