Routes Connecting Communities is a growing York Region based not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping people on their journeys in life. We improve access to basic needs, enhance community engagement and improve social connections.
Purpose
Routes is seeking an Operations Manager who will provide oversight to programs/projects, ensure data tracking, conduct program evaluation, maintain documentation, and generate monthly reports. The Operations Manager is also responsible for the supervision and support of four to five full-time staff. You will be leading collaborative problem solving to situations as they arise.
Office Hours
This is an in-office position, Monday to Friday. In this management role it is expected that you will be flexible to accomplish the accountabilities of the role, which will include periodically exceeding the regular hours as noted or working outside of regular business hours.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the development and professional growth of the team
• Oversee implementation of programs, ensuring quality programming
• Oversee the daily operations of the Georgina Routes office and its operations
• Be responsible for data tracking, program evaluation, documentation and generating reports
• Participate in planning to ensure ongoing organizational development, including service delivery and process improvement
• Other Management duties
Experience Requirements
• Minimum 3-5 years of staff supervision experience in an office setting, required
• Extensive project management experience. PMP designation an advantage
• Experience in the social services/non-profit sector, community engagement, data tracking and evaluation
• Excellent MS Office and ability to utilize software to generate reports
• Education - Minimum Bachelor’s Degree Other Requirements/Assets
• Understanding of confidentiality principles: data, human resources, and information privacy
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks
• Attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability work in office
• Ability to complete a vulnerable sector check
• Commitment to teamwork approach
